For driving or being in actual physical control of a vehicle in Arizona, the blood alcohol limits are:

- 0.08 or more — the standard DUI threshold: it is unlawful to drive with an alcohol concentration of 0.08 or more within two hours of driving, and a reading of 0.08 or more creates a presumption that the driver was under the influence .
- 0.04 or more — the lower limit that applies if the vehicle is a commercial motor vehicle requiring a commercial driver license, or if the person is operating a vehicle for hire or providing transportation network services as a transportation network company driver .
- 0.15 or more — the "extreme DUI" threshold: driving with an alcohol concentration of 0.15 or more but less than 0.20, or 0.20 or more, within two hours of driving is a separate, more serious offense with enhanced penalties .

Note that a person can also be convicted below these numbers if impaired to the slightest degree by alcohol, drugs, or a combination .

Separately, Arizona has a parallel offense for operating a motorized watercraft under the influence, which uses the same 0.08 and 0.04 (commercial watercraft) thresholds but is a different statute from the driving DUI laws .
